Gathering Patient Consent for a Flu Injection

Patient consent for a Flu Injection can be completed on a Workstation or iPad and can be gathered for the following patients:

  • An existing patient
  • A new patient
  • By copying an existing patient from the same family

When completed, Flu Consent Forms are automatically attached to the prescription. This can be viewed at a later time. For more information, see Viewing a Completed Patient Flu Consent Form.

If a flu prescription is not completed within 72 hours (i.e. patient is not eligible based on questionnaire answers), then the patient consent will be deleted.

Note: Any patient related information added or modified from the Flu Consent will be written back to PharmaClik Rx.

When filling a Flu Injection prescription, the Flu Consent questionnaire and all answers can be viewed from the Flu Injection window > Consent button. The information cannot be modified from this button.
